My Great Buddy in JC - Eleanor

grpphoto.jpg

People who knew me in JC will know that I have this very good buddy called Eleanor. She is the most unique girl that I've ever met. Eleanor is very intellectual, thinking and "she's got the character". That's why I admire her very much. Eleanor likes (or should I say "obssessed with") the serial X-files, and also the lead actor, David D. Opps, she's probably gonna kill me for adding this part in! Anyway, I really enjoyed sharing everything with her. From major problems (erhemz...esp. creeps, ya?) to little secrets, and not forgetting the snacks that we stocked up our lockers with, to munch during tutorials! I remember vividly how our civics tutor cum Bio tutor, Mrs Goh tried to "separate" us by disallowing the two of us to sit together during her lessons. We did that for a few times and eventually ended up sitting together again. Hahaha! Eleanor has taught me a lot and I really treasure our friendship. But one thing! She's a Malaysian. Which means, I don't get to see her often anymore. Eleanor proclaims that she's paranoid (but trust me, it's not that bad) and her famous line is "Life is like a vacuum.....it sucks!". She's now studying medicine in KL.

Liu Dake aka Ray

This guy is a good friend of mine. We didn't exactly started off as friends, but more like email pals. He came to NYJC only after the first 3 months and I knew him through Orientation 2. We were in the same OG. (Hi Dake! Should I disclose the contents of our first few emails? No lah, kidding. That's our secret.....I dun wanna be called a busybody anyway.)
Dake is good with computers and has a collection of more than 100 computer games! Initially, whenever we met in college, he would give me the funny grin of his, together with an attempt to say "hi". Fortunately, after a while, we became more friendly towards each other and can be called "friends" because we sometimes go out together, instead of merely communicating through email. He is a generous guy and always remains happy, cheery..... He gave me a Swatch watch on my 18th birthday! I'm sure friends who hang out with me have seen it before, 'cos I wear it even till now.
On my 20th, I received an Ultraman pendant from him. It's ultra cute, and I like it very very much. U know, ray, it drew the attention of a lot of my friends! Yes, a lot! Are u just so good at buying gifts or what?

I'm thankful to be in the class of S7b in JC. It is made up of a remarkable combination of people. Our small population size of 20 allowed us to be very close to one another.

On top of that, I have to mention the ECA I've never regretted joining. ELDDS. We struggled through a hectic period together, preparing for our annual Drama Nite. However, we were all without complaints because of our common aspiration & passion -- the theatre, the stage. These people include Priscilla, Hamzah, Faizal, Subha, Melvin, Clarence......
